Some people talk about their faith. Annita lives hers. She walks into a room and makes everyone feel seen, loves her grandchildren without reservation, and carries her family through hard seasons with a grace and strength that leaves me speechless. On this Mother’s Day, I just want the world to know — I am the most blessed of all.

Letter to my children, I’m not good at saying these things out loud, so I’m writing them down. To my kids and grandkids: you are my legacy, my prayer, and the reason I keep showing up.

You forgave them. At least you thought you did. But some wounds don’t stay buried quietly, and forgiveness is rarely as simple as people make it sound.

I thought I needed more patience. What I really needed was humility, perspective, and the reminder that not everyone learns at the pace I do.

Real strength isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like quietly carrying everyone else while fighting battles nobody sees.
